Data-driven Value Creation

Data-driven Value Creation

Presently we are running DAM Forum — Data, AI and Machine Learning in Advanced Materials

This forum activity is for researchers who want to understand more how Data, AI and Machine Learning can be useful in their research, and how its aligns in value chains.

Format

The series alternates between:

Open Forum Sessions
Open exchange format. No presentations, no fixed agenda – discussions inspired by participants to learn from each other related to Data, AI and Machine Learning. The Open Forum is based on the Open Space Technology concept, where discussion builds from the knowledge and interest of those present.

Presentation Forum Sessions
A presentation acts as inspiration case and discussion trigger to learn from, and at the same time be useful to provide ideas to the speaker. After the presentation and discussion, there is time for open exchange.

Workshop
More planned agenda by presentations which act as inspiration cases.

Machine learning and AI depend on data. However, many research projects involve early-stage process development with limited data and few experiments or samples.
Machine learning and AI are useful for development, but research activities are only one link in a larger chain. Optimizing a single process step may miss strategically important data connected to manufacturing, sustainability, traceability, and future exploitation. What data should be considered before large datasets are available?
The forum aims to open discussion and exchange around “machine learning and AI before machine learning and AI” and how early-stage deeptech projects can prepare for machine learning, AI, and data-driven value creation.
