European Research-to-Impact and Ecosystem Training
This training provides fellows with practical understanding of how research outcomes can translate into innovation pathways, collaborations, and impact within the European research and innovation ecosystem.
Overview
European Research-to-Impact & Ecosystem Training supports researchers in understanding how scientific work connects to the wider European research and innovation landscape.
The training focuses on understanding how research can translate results into innovation opportunities, impact pathways, and exploitation . It provides practical perspectives on how research activities can realistically make a shift from research to business.
The programme is organised by Alminica AB, an SME active in European research and innovation projects with experience in collaboration between academia, industry, and innovation ecosystems. We have a network of SMEs which are examples of research to business. That gives researchers to a broader exposure to innovation actors beyond a single organisation.
Purpose
The purpose is not only impact and exploitation. It is also about how the transition can be relevant in EU perspectives.
Topics
Topics include:
- Research-to-impact pathways in European research programmes
- Innovation ecosystems and stakeholder involvement for ecosystems to grow
- Research exploitation and valorisation perspectives with added values by the digital transition
- Positioning impactful research within the European research and innovation landscape
These themes are particularly relevant for researchers participating in European programmes such as MSCA, EIC Pathfinder, and collaborative research projects. We tailor content for each training.
Format
The training can be organised in several formats:
- One-week intensive training
- Short workshops or seminars
- Online sessions
- Hybrid events
Participation can be arranged individually or with research groups and projects.
Who it is for
The training is intended for:
- MSCA Postdoctoral Fellows
- PhD candidates involved in European projects
- Researchers interested in research impact and exploitation
EuropeNoun framework
The training draws on the EuropeNoun framework, which explores how research careers and research projects develop within the European research and innovation environment. EuropeNoun provides perspectives on how researchers can connect their work with European programmes, collaborative networks, and innovation ecosystems.
Role in research training
European Research-to-Impact & Ecosystem Training can complement the training activities of research projects by providing external perspectives on innovation ecosystems and research impact.
